Maybe it's true. Those who play video games want to live an unreal experience and project themselves into a new body, armed and often non-human. Being born and dying continuously. Fly and run like a superhero. Make unlikely jumps and punch enemies non-stop. Or walking for hours in huge expanses inhabited by monsters of all types for hours and hours without feeling any real sensation of tiredness.

In video games we all want to be “superheroes”. Nonetheless, I think we are close to a new scenario given by the desire to live increasingly real and immersive experiences. For example, recently, thanks to an idea from colleagues and a professional opportunity, I tried Google #CardBoard who with an embarrassing simplicity wink at the Oculus Rift and comrades.

“If tomorrow I could wear my real clothes, with all the strengths and weaknesses of my body and the physiological characteristics that characterize me (cardio, musculature, elasticity, IQ, ...) it would no longer be real and fun to play and deal with the possibility However, to evolve in reality and then immerse myself in the role of a character in a virtual world, perhaps in space?”

YES! I would like to try it…
Think about it. People who will go to the gym to improve themselves with the parallel excuse of increasing the resistance of their character who in the new Star Wars game is preparing for a new battle on the planet Alderaan. Gyms will hold ad hoc courses, food diets designed to improve vital parameters will be created, ... and finally nerdism will disappear and societies will merge, benefiting from the global desire given by well-being and the desire to be fit. The work will progress and further fuel the modern concept of sharing economy and some will be able to let off steam above all without "playing and taking advantage" of the real lives of others.

Well, you who are already thinking about this society in which the virtual will be a metamorphosis of the real, don't worry! I'm just fantasizing and then I've never guessed one 🙂 yet 🙂
