A blog about prophetic marketing? Yes, but what is prophetic marketing?

Years ago I worked with a “character” who captured my attention day after day. He spoke to me about the future, cars, advertising, cell phones, smartphones, trends, fashion, colors, perfumes, women, men, boys, children, couples, marriages, gays, lesbians, information technology, culture, museums, sports, companies, China, the USA, Thailand, earthquakes, the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, the neighborhoods, the kindergartens, the oratories... every day we spent minutes and sometimes hours exchanging forecasts, data and news we had heard about. But what web 2.0?! we were grinding information, mixing it and projecting it around us at such a speed that perhaps from memory I can confirm that I have never had as many headaches as I did in that period! yes… perhaps only the women of my past have gone this far.

I haven't met Alberto for over three years. But one day I "woke up" in front of an advertisement that portrayed the campaign of a famous sports chain that was launching a loyalty program for its customers with the aim of also attracting prospects with prizes and co-marketing done by mixing brands, clubs and events... nothing abnormal today. But Alberto and I talked about this 7 years ago.

Of emotions! of experiences to compare and share. The one everyone is talking about today! Life is not easy but it allows us to buy everything or almost everything. Except love, feelings, EMOTIONS!

Alberto doesn't have time anymore! maybe he will find time to write something in this virtual space. But it's better for him to talk for hours and hours about marketing and the future.

Instead, I thought about starting to write a BLOG, where I will try to transfer the result of that process that Alberto and I did during our chats. I will talk to you about things that exist and are happening, mixing them with my ideas of the future, to study predictions.

Reasoning and bets on the future! so that marketing can anticipate the future and not follow the present starting from the past!

For example, "have you ever thought about what it will be like to cross the street in the future when cars will be completely silent!? we will be forced to look around! but what if electric cars had a system to emit sounds that could be purchased from some online company? Tomorrow my electric car could have an engine that sounds like a 1975 Ferrari Dino.” and “what will come after web2.0?” and “the social network!? what will its future be? the society that until a few days ago seemed to reward people's individuality! Now which direction is it going?” and “Corps that will ring” and “Home sports!” and “new cities…” etc…
