If Facebook were a "traditional" country in terms of number of citizens it would be the third most populous. Of course it is a virtual community, with few rules, multiple, cloned identities and many leaders. Free or almost, or so they make us believe. Continuously evolving and destined to grow a lot over time. Today over 500 million users populate it and spend around 3 hours on average a day. Perhaps many of us dedicate more time to him than we do to children, wives, partners and companions. Think about it, maybe this isn't the case for many of us. Yet we don't even think about limiting the time dedicated to it. Indeed it grows and sometimes reaches peaks that make us ashamed. Better than popular TV. Not comparable to satellite TV and cultural and sports programs but tomorrow who can say... It could become a global platform. After all, the numbers prove them right... They have everything they need to make big steps forward. Last but not least, many of us have made new friends, created connections and relationships. Some have still found people forgotten over the years. In the end it's not so much virtual! “life's sharing”.

What if tomorrow this community decides to give itself a government? Define a constitution? Elect a president and define yourself as the first virtual country in the galaxy? But for what purpose? Perhaps improve the service, give ourselves clearer rules, contribute to socialization and common satisfaction by creating "policies" of communication, privacy, digital security etc...

I don't mean to call it a provocation! I am convinced that we will go in this direction. Terms such as online and offline will lose meaning. For virtual we will find a more suitable synonym. And the two lives we think we live separately today will converge! If we know how to defend by nourishing the community with values and principles, one day we will have even more fun than we do today. Life will take a leap forward and we will find it simpler in a certain sense. Will privacy and security have to find a controller, a sort of Facebook police? Why not!

When are the first elections?
