In two days I'll be in Los Angeles to visit a dear friend and on the occasion I've also organized a few business visits for a product that we've been studying over the past few months and which has tremendous potential... But last but not least, as I've done in the past, I'm going to look around and understand from the "real" how some proximity marketing initiatives that we read about on the net work, for example Jumbly.

And while searching the internet for news I came across a very interesting post, , promising with the title “Why Minority Report Is Not the Future of Out Of Home Advertising”. I invite you to read it and I dedicate it above all to those who think they live in a civilized, free and democratic country or to those who imagine the United States as a country where anything goes. In history, some men have had important visions and have pushed society to great revolutions with their illuminations. Today, in the society of sharing and general contribution between people, there is no longer room for individuals but at the same time I believe that new opportunities are opening up for individuals to cooperate and create great works. Minority Report represents a distant society, where important social problems are fought using unconventional systems and, as the reported blog post captures and highlights, SPAM is another hypocritical face of a system that fights evil and then invades privacy.

In any case I do not agree! indeed, I think that moving away from generalist advertising and bringing more profiled, emotional and personalized information closer to the consumer is the future of advertising. Enough with the generalist messages, the future will be made up of single-customer-centric products. It will be a future of absolute protagonism for the consumer. Years, maybe a few decades! but eventually we will come to contribute to all stages of production and so far from fads we will become the real producers for ourselves. And speaking of technologies, why be scandalized in the face of advanced recognition systems if upstream I am the one who authorized the system or model to propose myself. Engagement to the system is the real challenge. The rest will all be downhill.
